Mt. San Antonio College had five athletes place in the top seven in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase at the California Community College Athletic Association State Championships at Bakersfield College, led by champion Anthony Alfaro in 9:17.39. Tre Waters (9:20.97) was second, Colby Penn (9:44.91) finished fourth, Manny Fernandez (9:49.34) took sixth and Jacob Zamora (9:58.53) placed seventh for the Mounties, who scored 28 points in the event on their way to winning their third team title in four years with 160 points.
